Mäntsälä's most beautiful manor houses


During the course of this whole-day tour we will visit four very different manor houses.

Alikartano Manor is architecturally unique with its blend of different styles. The manor currently operates as a museum and here you can become acquainted with the exploits of the famous Nordenskiöld family, whose most well-known member was Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld, the discoverer of the Northeast Passage.

Match factory owner, Herman Holmberg, built the Hirvihaara manor in 1918. The present-day manor serves travellers as a hotel and restaurant and also as a conference centre. Tours of the inside can be arranged circumstances allowing.

A delicious buffet can be had at the Empire-style Sälinkää Manor.

The fourth stop is at the Saari Manor, which is one of the most recent manors to be built as private home in Finland. The Saari Manor is also no stranger to visitor these days as it is also a gardening and agricultural school. The tour includes coffee and home-made pastries aat the museum coffee sho 'Hedda Noora'. You can also do some shopping in the Tuottajatori Kotipiiri, where you can be greeted when you arrive by the lovely smell of fresh bread. With over 130 different products on sale from the farms, you will find it impossible to resist! You can also enjoy more coffee in the Kotipiiri Wintti (not included in the cost of the tour).

The tour can also be tailored to suit you requirements, leaving out one or more stops.
